Paris, Loire Valley & Normandy

Enjoy a historical guided tour of in Paris "city of light" with comments and discover the beauty of Paris , discover the History of France with the castle of Versailles. Then , you will discover the “Valley of the Kings Route” situated at the banks of the Loire river the greatest river of France.


Day 1: Welcome service at your arrival in Paris, transfer to your hotel, free dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning departure to visit some of Paris's most emblematic attractions. You'll stroll along the Champs-Elysées, famous for its many stores and luxurious galleries, before arriving at the famous Arc de Triomphe. You'll enjoy an exceptional view of the Louvre and the Arche de la Defense. Free lunch. You can also visit Notre Dame de Paris, the famous cathedral dates back the 18th century and has become an architectural masterpiece and the Place de la Concorde. 
On the afternoon, enjoy a Cruise on the River Seine: you will relax and enjoy the nicest ancient buildings of the city. The Eiffel tower, the Louvre, Notre Dame and the Statue of Liberty model, which was offered by France to the United States, and can all be viewed along the banks of the river. 
OPTION: Dinner show in Moulin Rouge 
Return to your hotel, free dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Visit the Castle of Versailles and its gardens which was commissioned by Louis XIV, which became the home of the court in France. Versailles brought the art de vivre to Europe. Free lunch
On the afternoon, you will explore the famous district Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the “noble suburb” located on left bank of the Seine. You will also visit the Saint Sulpice church, the private hotels of the 18th century and the booksellers. 
Then drive to Loire Valley, check-in at your hotel, free dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Excursion to Amboise, which was the first Renaissance style castle of the Loire Valley, constructed in 15th and 16th centuries. All the kings of France from Charles VII to François I, stayed in this Castle. Visit the Clos Lucé castle offered by François 1er to Leonard de Vinci. Free lunch.
Excursion to Chambord, visit of the famous Castle of François I, the most fascinating castle of all the Loire castles. We still admired the idea of the double revolution staircase of the Castle. Chambord propriety, surrounded by 32 km long stone wall, is today the biggest forest park in Europe, with interesting wild fauna. Return to your hotel, free dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Visit to Chenonceau Castle, which has the charm of the Renaissance style, in its harmonious surroundings : the Cher, the forest and wonderful French gardens, where famous queens and mistresses took their walk : Catherine Briçonnet , Diane de Poitiers et Catherine de Médicis, Louis de Lorraine, Madame Pelouze. Free lunch. Visit to the Castle of Chaumont-sur-Loire, built from 1466 by Charles of Amboise, and his two sons. The terrace and the garden offer you a magnificent view of the Loire. A drawbridge and massive tower give the impression a fortress, and Chaumont is a Renaissance construction. Return to your hotel free dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Visit Rochecorbon vine cellars, you will find yourselves in a 3 km long passage, 200 metres under the surface. We have the possibility to taste the famous vines like the “Pécher Mignon” and the “Blanc Foussy”. Then drive to Caen in Normandy. Check-in at your hotel, free dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Visit the history museum at the harbour at Arromanches. There you will discover how the construction of the artificial harbour was a key to success after D day. Free lunch. Then you’ll visit the Airborne Museum, located in the heart of the village of Sainte-Mère-Eglise in the Channel. 
The American Cemetery located on the coast between Arromanches and Grandcamp Maisy, this site, which extends over 70 hectares, overlooking Omaha beach. It brings together the graves of 9,387 soldiers killed in combat. The chapel and the memorial garden complete this missing. Return to your hotel, free dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Visit the Caen memorial museum wich takes you into the crucial period that began with world war II and finished with the fall of the Berlin world. Free lunch. Departure via the panoramic road via Cabourg and Honfleur, the old beautiful picturesque port characterized by its houses with slate covered frontages painting many times by artist in particular Gustave Courbet, Claude Monet and Johan Jongkind. Late afternoon drive to Paris, check-in at your hotel, free dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to your point of departure in Paris.


NB : The length of the trip is flexible according to your wishes. Each destination can be combined with other cities in France on request. The trip is available as a self-drive or with a private driver.
